Hi, my name is Stacy and I am the owner and creator behind For Goodness Oils. Ever since I can remember, I’ve had skin sensitives and allergies. I developed eczema as a young child and continued to have flareups into my adult life.
In my late twenties, having multiple severe allergic reactions to products like lip balms and soap, I set out to try to find products without harsh chemicals that would be safe and gentle on my sensitive skin. This was no easy task as most store bought products still had ingredients like lanolin and synthetic fragrances that I would react to. After many trial and error, I settled for the most mild I could find but would still have occasional reactions which resulted in immune therapy (allergy shots) and lots of antihistamines.
In 2012, after years of shots and medicine, I was tired of having reactions all the time and decided to try making my own products such as bath oil and lip balm. My first products were simple but worked for me. It wasn’t until I was introduced to essential oils in 2015 that my homemade products really came together. I now had pure therapeutic essential oils to use for fragrance that also added aromatherapy benefits. After making my first sugar scrub with lavender essential oil (hubby approved), I was hooked on essential oils and trying more DIY recipes for products.
Slowly, I started making other products like lotion bars and roll-ons for family and friends. These became my staple bridal shower and birthday gifts. I also continued to try new recipes to perfect my products. I love creating and trying to make the best possible version of products I can.
In 2018, after much soul searching and recent changes in my job at a local hospital, I decided to expand my product line to home fragrances and try selling all my handcrafted products, thus starting For Goodness Oils.
